HFMA Show-Me Committees
Fall Workshop Committee
Objectives and Responsibilities
- Programming--Includes selection of topics and speakers and the development and mailing of brochures.
- Facilities--Includes selection and negotiation of hotel and meeting space, speaker AV needs, banquets and entertainment.
- Registration--Includes accounting for the workshop, registration lists, name tags, and sponsorships.
Membership Roster Committee
Objectives and Responsibilities
- Prepare the annual Membership Roster
- Distribute the Roster by November to Chapter membership, HFMA National, the Missouri Hospital Association, and chapter leaders within HFMA's Region eight.
Nominating Committee
Objectives and Responsibilities
- Present nominees for Chapter officers and Board members in accordance with Chapter by-laws.
- Appoint two Chapter members (who are not being voted on) to serve as a ballot canvas subcommittee.
Sponsorship Committee
Objectives and Responsibilities
- Develop the annual Chapter sponsorship program which supports Chapter goals.
- Facilitate the achievement of plan goals in support of Chapter financial goals.
Program Committee
Objectives and Responsibilities
- Make arrangements for educational meetings of the Chapter.
- Make arrangements for Chapter social activities.
Audit Committee
Objectives and Responsibilities
- Conduct the annual audit of the Chapter's financial records within 60 days of the close of the Chapter's fiscal year.
- Assist the Chapter Treasurer in preparation of the Chapter budget for the next fiscal year for presentation to the Chapter Board of Directors.
Communications Committee
Objectives and Responsibilities
- Keep Chapter members, Missouri hospitals, and other healthcare providers informed on all Chapter activities and current Developments in the delivery of healthcare in Missouri.
- Distribute at least four issues of the Show-Me Happenings member newsletter each year.
Membership Committee
Objectives and Responsibilities
- Correspond with non-members who attend Chapter Educational meetings and invite them to return and consider HFMA membership.
- Contact hospitals within the Chapter area who do not have an HFMA member and educate them regarding HFMA membership benefits and Chapter activities.
- Serve as a Chapter Job Referral and Certification contact.
Founders Award Committee
Objectives and Responsibilities
- Evaluate areas of potential membership, contact interested applicants, receive applications and maintain membership standards commensurate with standards set by HFMA National and Chapter aims.
- Assign a member to welcome and orient new Chapter members.
- Keep an accurate Founders Award History on all Show-Me Chapter members and distribute to each member a report on their current scoring within 60 days of the close of the Chapter fiscal year.
- Submit to the Chapter President and Secretary records on members eligible for Founders Award scoring within 60 days of the close of the Chapter fiscal year.
- Arrange one meeting per year for all new Chapter members to explain what HFMA is and to discuss the Chapter's objectives and goals.
