President's Greeting

Dear Show-Me of Missouri Chapter Members,

First of all, I would like to thank all of you for allowing me to serve as the President of the Show-Me of Missouri Chapter. This year is going to be filled with many educational opportunities and I hope that you all take advantage the benefits of being a member of the Show-Me of Missouri Chapter.

I am looking forward to the upcoming year. The Officers and Board of Directors have set the goals and strategies for the year based on comments and suggestions from you, the members. We plan to offer at least one webinar this year and hope that many of you will be able to take advantage of this educational offering. This will replace our Winter Workshop and should make it easier for many of you to participate as you will not have to leave your office. I plan to continue the President's Notes that Amy started sending out last year since we received positive feedback regarding the increased communication from members. If you have any other comments or suggestions, please feel free to email or call me anytime.

HFMA's new chairman, Mary Beth Briscoe, has named "Make a Difference" as her theme for this year. She encourages HFMA members to realize that they are each people of great worth, and that their actions, in big and small ways, have the potential to make a significant difference in the world around them. As healthcare professionals, we have a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients. I know that HFMA and my career in healthcare finance have provided me personally with invaluable opportunities. I encourage each of you to get as much out of HFMA as you can because it really will "Make a Difference" in your life professionally and personally.
