President's Greeting

Dear Show-Me Members,

It is an honor and privilege to serve the Show-Me chapter as the President for 2009-2010.  HFMA’s current National Chairman, Cathy Jacobson, has chosen “Making It Count” as the theme for this year.  She has said that Making It Count depends on leaders and individuals who are willing to take an extra step, take a chance, speak up, or make a difficult choice because they believe their actions will help a loved one, better their community, improve an organization, or bring about needed change. 

Making It Count is our ultimate goal this year.  We have a dedicated group of chapter leaders in our Directors, Officers and Committee Chairs who have worked hard and put together a plan for this year that is loaded with several major initiatives. We are looking to increase member involvement in the operation of our chapter by increasing participation in committees.  We want to increase sponsors so we can increase educational opportunities to our members.  We want to improve communication and become more transparent to our members so you better understand what we are trying to accomplish as a chapter and so you can better benefit from being a member.  We also want to add new members by promoting the advantages of belonging to HFMA. 

Leadership is about helping others make it count.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me or any of the other Directors and Officers.  We are here to serve you.  With your help we can all make it count.
